Occupation: Interior Designer and Home Store Owner

Dream Occupation: After years of working for major brands, I took a leap of faith and invested in myself by creating Republic of Decor - a dream I'd held for as long as I can remember. Bringing my award-winning shop to Greenville has been incredibly rewarding, and I'm grateful every day to be surrounded by beautiful, thoughtfully curated decor and gifts in a space built with heart.

I like to wear... I am happiest when the weather allows for layers. I feel most confident in a sharp vest over a crisp shirt or an Italian-knit blazer with tailored jeans. You'll often find me in stylish leather sneakers, though I have a soft spot for Jack Purcell Converse. I'm always drawn to new trends in fabrics, colors and textures for the home and often find those influences shaping my wardrobe. In fact, one client once told me she wanted her home's color palette to match what I wore to our design consultation.

What I will never wear... We all have certain colors that don't make us look our best, so I stay away from yellows, camel and certain shades of brown. I also have a strong dislike for those slinky fabrics used in golf apparel. Thankfully, I don't play golf so I easily avoid those areas in a menswear shop. Lastly, you will never see me wearing a pair of Teva sandals or Sanuk slip-ons.

I describe my style as... Over time, I've invested in high-quality basics that anchor my wardrobe, adding colorful tees and seasonal accents for personality. To me, style isn't about expensive clothes, it's about combining pieces in a way that feels authentic and comfortable. I'm often inspired by interior design; a striking wallpaper palette might influence a shirt-and-jacket combination the next day.

My signature item is... A great bag or tote to carry all of my samples.

Next thing I will buy is... I really want to save up to buy a great blazer from Brunello Cucinelli, but I am waiting until I get hired for my next big design job. I am practical to a fault and invest most of my earnings back into my business.
