Republic of Decor Opens in Greenville’s West End

Greenville, S.C. – Republic of Decor, an award-winning showroom and interior design studio offering an eclectic mix of stylish home accessories, unique gifts, and distinctive interior design objects and décor, has opened its doors in Greenville’s West End. The chic new design destination, which will celebrate its official grand opening this spring, also offers full-service interior design services.

“I believe homes and spaces should reflect the people who live in them - layered, expressive, and meaningful,” said Republic or Decor’s founder and owner David Fruscione.  “Whether it’s grand artwork in the foyer or a small accent layered into a living room, each piece Republic of Decor carries has story and a sense of artistry behind it. My goal is to make luxury feel accessible and design feel warm and inviting.”

Blending approachable luxury with artisan craftsmanship, Republic of Decor specializes in one-of-a-kind pieces that set spaces apart. From handmade accents crafted across the United States - including California, New York City, and Florida - to woven goods sourced from regions such as Asia and South Africa where the craft has been perfected for generations, each item carries the soul and story of its maker. The shop will expand its offerings to highlight talented artisans throughout the Southeast, and in addition to custom statement pieces, the showroom features a curated selection of tabletop décor, accent furnishings, artwork, wallpaper, gifts and more, all beautifully merchandised to inspire.  The selection of gifts and home décor includes a wide array of products such as handmade decorative pieces, candles, pillows, serveware, gourmet treats, coffee table books, stationery, and baby gifts - you can walk out with a great hostess gift for under $100 or take home a special one-of-a kind item. Republic of Decor also offers bespoke scents created by David exclusively for the shop.  Each one is custom and named after a Greenville neighborhood, a special nod to the city he now calls home.

Originally discovering Greenville as a second-home retreat, David quickly fell in love with the city’s culture, year-round vibrancy, and momentum. What began as a getaway soon became a permanent move and an opportunity to move his business to one of the Southeast’s fastest growing and most dynamic markets.  

“The energy in Greenville is tangible and a magnet for both discerning residents and visionary business owners alike,” David added. “The exciting growth, the culture, the development happening in the West End - it feels like Republic of Decor is arriving at exactly the right moment. I’m excited to be part of the city and neighborhood’s current and next chapter.”

David comes to Greenville from Naples, Florida, where he owned and operated a successful design business and retail showroom that anchored the area’s Design District, a vibrant destination he envisioned and brought to life from the ground up.  With decades of extensive experience in both residential and retail design, he has led custom home interior projects and retail concept initiatives across the country through his own design studio and leadership roles with some of the most prestigious brands in retail including Banana Republic and White House Black Market. 

Nationally and regionally recognized, David has been named a Top 25 Interior Designer in Southwest Florida, a two-time Top 50 Independent Home Furnishings Store in the United States, and a national finalist for Best Interior Designer. His accolades also include multiple Best Interior Designer distinctions in Collier County, FL, Design Excellence honors from the American Society of Interior Designers, and recognition among Naples’ Top 100 Business Leaders.

David is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a member of the Interior Design Society. He holds degrees in Interior Architecture from California College of the Arts and the University of San Francisco, along with an associate degree in Fashion Buying & Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
