Since I recently opened my new gorgeous store and design studio, I was excited to attend High Point market this season. A quick drive from Greenville, I spent 4 days exploring all of the showrooms to hunt for amazing finds, new resources and source furnishings for design clients. Market always gets me inspired, there is so much to take in. The best part this time, I drove so I was able to take advantage of the "cash and carry" option some showrooms offer!! I love instant gratification and was able to add many new finds into the shop immediately.  

Over the past few months as I approached my 10 year anniversary, I reflected deeply on my journey, what makes me happy and questioned how I wanted to write my next chapter. After lots of sleepless nights, conversations with respected mentors and other circumstances I had to tackle, I have made the decision to close the retail portion of my business in Naples. My Naples based design services will remain though. I have been blessed with fantastic clients in SWFL and will continue to support them.

It's that time of year when many focus on Valentine's Day and that usually means most also have chocolate on their minds. I know that I can't get through the day without at least one piece. It made me think about Pantone's color of the year - #17-1230 Mocha Mousse. For the past few years, the design industry shifted towards gray and cooler neutrals. However, the pendulum always swings and we are now seeing things warm up.
