I had the honor of being one of four designers selected in the US by the National Interior Design Society to curate a selection of my favorite new products introduced at Fall High Point Market.  I hunted through numerous showrooms to choose the pieces that represented my style, reflected current trends and gave inspiration for others.

Every July I attend Summer Market in Atlanta.  It is a quick flight and everything is conveniently located in showrooms across 3 buildings.  This show is more of a gift and accessories venue however there are furniture, art, and lighting lines that present there as well.  I spent a few days hitting it hard, digging through the wide array of offerings to find the best stuff.

This time of year, our "high season" starts to wrap up and going to High Point to see new things and get inspired is a must!  With a list in hand, I was ready to hit the multitude of showrooms to look for pieces for design jobs and hunt for unique finds for the shop.

It's a new year and the perfect time to get motivated to do a little refreshing at home.  Most of us make resolutions that we struggle to keep. Don't let updating your personal spaces be one of them.  I am here to help inspire and expose you to ideas to plant those creative seeds.

The High Point Market is the largest home furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point, North Carolina twice a year.  With more than 2,000 exhibitors over 180 buildings, there is a ton to get inspired by.  Each product line highlights their new introductions for industry professionals to order for their clients and stores.

This year, I was invited as a VIP buyer to attend the NY Now show held at the Javits Center hoping to find unique pieces for clients and the shop.  I powered through the large convention center reviewing the 2,300 brands that were on display from all over the world.  Needless to say, I walked for miles according to my phone and scored big with selections from new companies.

Home Accents Today, a leading home furnishings publication selected Republic of Decor as a top 50 independent home furnishings store in the country.  This award was announced during the July Americas Mart in Atlanta.  While at the Mart, I zipped through the multiple levels and buildings to see what’s new from the multitude of brands that showcase their product.

After a busy season at the shop, I was excited to get out and see new things.  I spent 4 full days in High Point, North Carolina and explored the many bustling showrooms in the furniture capital of the US.  Practically every furniture line out there, unveils their newest creations for the design industry to hopefully swoon over.

I am such a fan of rocks and find Mother Nature so incredibly inspiring.  Selenite is one of my favorites.  I love its white translucent glass like quality.  Often seen in long thin sheets or shards, the texture plays with light in a breathtaking way.
